Lil’ Jordy

Took some photos of my nephew and played around with some photoshop tricks. 🙂

Hello lil’ Jordy! 🙂

End-of-Summer Read

One more week before a new term of school starts again. So here’s my last hurrah, end-of-summer book list:

Mykonos, Greece

Half day tour of Mykonos, as a side trip. Despite Mykonos being known for its wild nightlife, I loved the beautiful morning stroll around this little town.

On my way to the restroom, I saw this Pelican just lounging around. Good thing he/she didn’t mind me taking his/her photo. 🙂

Pompeii, Italy

Here are a few snips from my visit to the old town ruins of Pompeii, which was destroyed by Mt. Vesuvius.

Walls with ash/lava residue.

A student sketching the ruins.

The arena.

Water fountain.

More ruins.

That’s all! 🙂

Sorrento, Italy

When life throws you lemons, make Limoncello.

Here are some snips from one of my favorite places in Italy…Sorrento.

In Italy, lovers usually padlock their promise of eternal love by the bars of viewing points.

The small town of Sorrento.

Apparently, the reason why these lemons are so huge, is because they’re a special hybrid of an orange and a lemon.

Enter the smaller streets of the town, and you’ll see a lot of mom-and-pop stores display bottles of their prized Limoncello. The creamy looking one is Limoncello mixed with cream. Super yummy!

I’m a sucker for strawberries. Here they have the big ones and the small ones (which are wild strawberries).

After a morning stroll in the town of Sorrento, we drove off to Positano for late lunch.

Fresh Buffalo mozzarella salad. 🙂

Vongole.

Got a free shot of Limoncello to top our meal. Yum!

On our way back to the car, my sister decided to buy this decadent flaky pastry filled with egg custard! Delicioso! 🙂 *smackslips*

That’s all for now! 🙂

Nice, France

It’s almost been a year since my European Cruise, and sadly, I still haven’t posted everything. Sorry , dear readers of mine! 😦 I’ll try my very best to post everything by the end of the month…then start posting my Japan photos too. Hehe.

So far, this year has been filled with travel. I feel so blessed! I can’t wait to jet-set again! 🙂 I hope that I’ll be able to go to Singapore again soon!

Anyway, here are some snips from my second stop (which was actually Monte Carlo, but we decided that Nice would be nicer to visit) in Nice, France.

We went to this place which was owned by a woman in the 20’s I think. I forgot her name, but the tour guide said that she was a tad bit crazy.

I really love taking photos of interesting ceiling patterns. 🙂

Beautiful desk set.

Love love love this clock! Reminds me of Alice in Wonderland, for some strange reason.

The house and garden.

Creepy, yet interesting detail from a flowerpot. 🙂

Oh, and I finally changed my watermark. Thanks to Adobe Illustrator, I can do so much more! I’m so happy I took a CAD course. So worth it! 🙂

That’s all for now. Till my next snip! 🙂

SM Parisian Bloggers Party

Last Saturday, I was invited by SM to attend their little bloggers party for the launch of their new Parisian Summer Collection. Being the behind-the-scenes-type-of-girl, I felt all awkward being all dolled-up for the pictorial. But, deep down inside…it actually felt quite nice. 🙂

Pardon the lack of pictures. I was kind of pre-occupied with the hair and make-up experience. Plus, it’s my first time to ever cover such a great event.

My favorite, Bizu! 🙂 Loved the crabstick and mango on crisp bread. 🙂

Elite studios

Free goodies from Parisian! Thank you oh so much for the opportunity. Sorry for being all shy. I’m not used to being in front of the camera. Hehe. 🙂

Well, that’s it so far. Will blog about the rest next time!

More of Park Guell

Sorry for the long hiatus. I’ve been pretty busy lately, and have not had the time to post. I’m hoping for more time to post though! For now, here are more pictures from my trip in Europe…Park Guell. It’s really a wonderful park to stroll in if ever you are in search of some inspiration. Broken tiles are wonderful ways of creating something new, don’t you think? 🙂

My First Wedding Gown

Happy New Year! Starting out my first post for 2012 with my very first wedding gown. I cried the moment I finished the last stitch. I can’t believe I made one all on my own. 🙂 Thank you Danika Navarro for being my last minute model. And thank you Tippi Sy for helping me style the shoot. 🙂

More of Barcelona

How I miss the food I ate in Barcelona…..major paella and green pepper craving right now. Boo.

Fresh olives and jamon

A staple in every kitchen/table in Barcelona: bread rubbed with tomato and drizzled with olive oil.

I couldn’t stop munching on these deep-fried green peppers!

Barcelona’s version of paella. Slightly saucy, but still has the yummy tutong at the bottom of the paella pan. 🙂

I forgot the name of this Church. 😦

What’s Spain without Tapas?? Gambas and patatas…..Mmmmmm. 🙂

Park Guell

I absolutely loved the colors and textures I saw in Park Guell. Beautiful! 🙂

Person I miss the most right now….my brother. He left the city to teach. Oh well…
